Albright chosen to head commission
By Martin Reed
Staff Writer After a marathon four-hour meeting on Thursday, Fremont County Planning Commission chairman Bob Joslin stepped down from the board.
“I’ve enjoyed my eight years on the commission,” Joslin said. “I’ve learned a lot about subdivisions. I’ve learned a lot about the county. ... It’s been fun.”
Fellow planning commissioner Diane Frank presented him with a plaque commemorating his servic, as well as a Hitching Post gift certificate.
“We’ve appreciated everything you’ve done,” Frank told him.
The board spent half of the meeting completing its recommended simple subdivision regulation changes, a process members spent the last several months discussing.
With Joslin ending his service, planning commissioners had to select a new chairman of the board. Planning commissioner Lukas Fidler nominated Harold Albright for the job.
“I would really like to just support another chairman,” a reluctant Albright said. “Every person sitting here is qualified and capable and has my support.”
The board voted Albright as its new chairman and elected Kristin Paulsen as vice chair. |
