The recent court decision regarding Lander Valley High School 18-year-old-students being allowed to sign themselves in and out of school has been a big topic of conversation among school officials around Fremont County school districts.
School District 25 superintendent Craig Beck said he fully supports the judge’s decision that favored the district enforcing its policy to all students, including those 18 years old and older.

In a move that caught fellow board members by surprise, Fremont County School District 25 Board of Education member Nance Shelsta resigned Tuesday night, ending an association with the Riverton schools that stretches across four decades.
Shelsta cited several philosophical differences with the board and administration.

St. Stephen’s Indian School art teacher Chris Rakisits painted the school’s eagle mascot onto the cheek of fifth-grader McClain Gardner, 12, during a yard sale and carnival on Saturday. The fund-raiser helped fifth-graders pay for a trip to Washington, D.C., planned for this fall.
