May 26, 2017 - By Craig Blumenshine, Staff Writer

Reed Axthelm, Jason Thoren, Slade Becker and Cydney Bradley were named all-state.

Six Riverton High School soccer players have been decorated with postseason honors, the Wyoming Coaches Association has announced.

Wolverine seniors Reed Axthelm, Slade Becker and Jason Thoren have been named to the Class 3-A all-state boys first team.

All three also were named to the all-state team last year and are first-team Class 3-A West all-conference picks.

Axthelm, who has signed to play for Kansas City Kansas Community College next season, was Riverton's top offensive threat and was named the upperclassman of the year in Class 3-A, according to the WCA.

Also named as all-conference were seniors Evan White and Kevin Schmidt.

The Wolverines boys finished the year as champions of the Class 3-A Southwest conference and overall compiled a 10-5-3 regular-season record before going 1-2 at the Class 3-A state tournament.

Lady Wolverines

Named as both a first-team Class 3-A all-state and Class 3-A West all-conference selection was sophomore Lady Wolverine Cydney Bradley.

The Lady Wolverines returned to the state tournament this season, but lost both of their matches at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.
