Nov 29, 2012 - From staff reportsSenior guard Luke Martinez scored 17 points to pace three Cowboys in double figures, as the University of Wyoming men's basketball earned its second-straight road win with a 64-40 victory over UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday night in the Thunderdome. The Pokes led by just 13 at halftime, before outscoring the Gauchos 30-19 in the second half to improve to 7-0 on the season for the first time since 1987-88.
"The whole crew really played well collectively at both ends of the floor tonight," Wyoming head coach Larry Shyatt said.
"That's unique and doesn't always happen on the road or at home. No one was an energy taker. Everyone was an energy giver tonight. They should be proud of that, especially on the road."
Martinez's 17 points came on 5-of-8 beyond the arc, as he added five rebounds, an assist and a steal.
