Jan 24, 2013 - From staff reportsThe Fremont County School District 25 Board of Trustees on Tuesday accepted a retirement request from assistant superintendent Kim McKinnon.
The retirement is effective at the end of the 2012-13 school year.
The announcement came during the regular Riverton school board meeting.
Superintendent Terry Snyder said McKinnon, who has worked for the district for 31 years, had indicated previously that he might be retiring.
"He seemed pretty certain, but his heart is in his job, and it took him awhile to make that final decision," Snyder said.
"He's the institution all of the staff members know."
Snyder wished McKinnon well in his retirement, thanking the man for everything he has done for the district.
